For the most part, today was a pretty uneventful day. I ate pretty much the same things that I've been eating for the last few days. I will say, I am becoming increasingly hungry for specific items that I normally would not be hungry for. Among these items are egg salad, tuna salad, and even chicken salad.
My friend Mandy tells me it's because our bodies are designed to be able to break down simple proteins such as what is found in eggs. Because my body is being somewhat deprived of protein, at least for a few more days, I think it is the reason why I'm craving those things so much.
I am supposed to start the next phase of my diet on Monday, but if I still feel fine by tomorrow night I think I'm going to try and make egg salad. I'm going to use light mayonnaise, pepper, and maybe a little bit of mustard.
Also, on a side note, I decided to try and put a very small amount of the light shredded cheddar cheese on my cream of tomato soup yesterday. It came out perfectly, melted perfectly, and I had no problems at all. Today I had french onion broth with a very little bit of mozzarella shredded cheese. The consistency in my mouth was so gummy I didn't want to chance swallowing it and having a problem. I think from now on I'm gonna stick with things like cheddar, colby jack, and a mexican four cheese blend.
Well, I'm going to do some homework and then head to bed. Good night everyone and stay healthy :-)
